Many systems today are still very manual - the technology is newer, the user interface looks nicer and the computers work faster but underneath all this is still a lot of manual intervention. Any change in status requires a substantial amount of administrative effort to set the system for the changes. StarGarden has eliminated much of this manual effort through it's powerful defaulting and inheritance rules.

For example, when the details of a particular benefit changes the change is usually only made in one place. Any Benefit Plans that contained the benefit would 'inherit' the change and any PosEmps which are linked to the benefit plan would also 'inherit' the change. A change in one place can affect 100's of employees without further effort.
